storms a brewin
It has officially rained for 3 conceptive days! Since I moved to Valdosta last Friday I have been wet every day I have been here. Between it being so hot my clothes are soaked in sweat or it raining and my clothes being soaking wet from the freaking hurricane, I change clothes on average about 3 times a day. I went through 3 umbrella's while I have been down here: 1st one flipped inside out and broke, 2nd one that I bought @ the bookstore flipped inside out snapped off and blew down the street and the last one (today) my mom opened and it just got tired of working and said "screw you." Finally today I broke down and bought a poncho! I am going to buy another umbrella but I will make sure its a good one and not pay $5.00 for one.
Another crappy thing that happened with the rain was I bought a book bag which was supposed to be waterproof (can you see where this is going?) After buying my theatre book that cost me a lovely $143.23 it the rain decided to start and drench my new book. If you didn't know, paperback books HATE the water so this weekend I have been ironing my Theatre book.
Other than that it has been fun here I guess...I am a little lonley even with the friends I have here. I am sure it will get better soon bc I have auditions for the Musical Theatre Cabaret this coming Monday and then Labor day weekend I am coming home!
I am off to get ready for the 1st football game of the season and yes we are braving the storm to watch football...who would think I would ever do this?! I guess what they say is true: "college is all about new experiences"

ok but no...
So sadness strikes my blog tonight. Last night was informed I had the best in class essay and when, for once in my life, I am the top student...I HAD TO DROP THE CLASS!
What I wanted to do was drop my math bc I couldn't get to it but my adviser let me drop it. I was sad because I had to drop my favorite class...oh well I will try next semester to get the same professor.
In other news I have auditions on monday for the Musial Theatre Cabaret. I am not really sure what I am singing yet..I would like to do something new but I need to work on it. The Good thing is that my boss, the secretary for the music department, is one of the accompanists. She already told me that she will play whatever I want her to! Score I am goign to talk with her tomorrow and see if there is a time I can get her to run over a few things with me.
I did get my 1st postcard from the postcard club and I do have to admit its pretty amazing. I am being a slack ass founder bc I have yet to find a damn mailbox! I promise you PCC that I will have your cards in the mail by the end of the week, even if I have to build a mailbox!

Here I am...
SO here I am and here I be. I at the moment I am sitting in the Library in an internet cafe looking at this smoothie wondering where one obtains these things. The Current time is 3:13pm and I've been done with my classes for 5 hours. Last class MWF ends at 10:50am so I have most of my day free. Lets Discuss my professors and Classes shall we?
1st possessor is Dr. Odom I believe is his name...he looks like this dude...
Thats right, Gene Wilder...fun times he is really Mellow and seems cool. This class would be Intro to Music, you basic "this is sheet music, this is a treble clef..." yadda yadda.
Next was improve with Jacque Wheeler and I don't know if I am going to like that class but we will give it a shot. I keep thinking that every time I speak her name she will drop from the ceiling or appear out of no where...her presence is so big. I have a feeling I will like her but I am sure I have to get used to the new teachers.
3rd was my American government class with a half deaf man which I was completely like 10 minutes late to. I thought the building was on the other side of Campus. This guy sounds EXACT ALLY like Ben Stein....yeah you try staying awake!!!
I have 2 more classes tomorrow and then I repeat but I think I am going to add a class or 2...I don' know yet. Stay tuned for more info!!!!
Same bat time Same Bat Chanel
*Note to the Post Card Club....I am so sorry guys I DID finish your postcards...(well those of you who have actually sent me your Address) but I still haven't mailed them out. I need to find a mailbox!!! I promise to have them out tomorrow

I can see it
It is nearly 2am on the day that I move to Valdosta...as I am sitting here bored out of my mind I am super duper excited. Tonight at 9:15 I got really tired so I decided to be a big boy and go to sleep at a decent hour in preparation for the move. Because the sand man fucking hates me I got up at 11:00pm and have officially screwed up my sleep cycle again!
I am leaving at 7:00 AM and have about 5 hours to either wait out of try to sleep until...I have a feeling waiting will win.
p.s.
I will post a blog with a video tour of my apartment....aren't you excited?!
p.p.s
I finally found my blog name! "Robot Wizard Owl" for those of you who don't know of the "RWO" I am sorry...but i have a name and it only took 6+ months

AMAZING gifts
so tonight (erm last night considering its almost 1am) I got to visit with and hang out with my best friends in Macon. The best thing about the whole night is I got presents!!! Here goes...
A Few months go I mentioned to my knitting addicted friend (who happens to have the cutest apartment ever) that I wanted a poncho. I told her of the poncho parties we have @ the vintage store and how jealous i was to not own one of my one...rather I had to borrow one from the store to sport while our "PP" was going on. The Amazingness that is Danielle decided to MAKE ME A PONCHO!!!!!! I have to say its the most amazing Poncho ever and I can't wait until its cool in Valdosta (does it ever get cool in Valdosta) to wear it!!! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH DANIELLE, I hope I thanked you enough bc I absolutely LOVE IT!!
Next on the stop of absoutly perfect presents comes Colby. After me almost destroying her wedding and not even knowing it she decided to make me a going away present anyway (mind you her wedding was like 2-3 years ago, but she likes me anyway.) She kept telling me of this "super surprise" she made me but wouldn't tell me anything about it. If anyone knows me you know I hate surprises so I was annoyed that the small blond woman wouldn't tell me what it was. I do have to admit when I got to her house (on the way to "Blakes" house) I was SOOOOOOOOO glad she didn't but it was perfect. She decided to take every inside joke and make it into a clock!
How you ask?
I am glad you did....here are the pictures that represent the numbers:
12. an 8 year old gay boy named Shannon
1. Lefou from Beauty and the Beast
2. Wizard Hat bc we love harry potter and wizards!
3. Feathers the unicorn
4. a Robot
5. Owl (the owl, wizard and wizard tie into each other...just imaging...ps he has a black eye!)
6. Cadillac the Unicorn
7.Diner....MACON DINER!
8. GNOME
9. and Tom Cruise (the unicorn) oh ooooooooh oh oh oooohhhh
10. Drama Mask
11. Legally Blonde logo
To both of you I commend you on being amazing artists and friends! I Love everyone of my macon friends and with tonight being my last official night in Macon I wish you all good luck with your lives the coming year and thanks for the happy times we have all shared together! I hope you all don't forget me bc I expect you to visit as will I!!!
Look down a few posts for my Valdosta Address....I LOVE getting hand written shit so drop me a letter/postcard/care package!!!

Going away disaster
Yesterday my family (except my mother) went out to have a "goodbye party" for me. The plans were to go bowling and eat nasty bowling ally food, put-put then Lazer tag. Well in the 2nd frame of the 1st game my dad fell on the lane (because it was too damn slick in front of the foul line) and landed in the next lane's gutter. When he got up he was a milky green color and was sweating profusely, also he could not move his arm. After getting him a drink and deciding that he needed to go to the emergency room we packed it all up and took him in. While we were in the waiting room of the worst hospital ever(warner robins), he started to loose feeling in his whole arm and couldn't breathe.
My brother and I lept into action and basically did everything except for actually causing physical harm to the ignorant desk nurses.
To make a long story short we got him into a room. He had an EKG, CT Scan, Blood work, X-rays and everything came back negative. He had dislocated his shoulder but they have no idea why his blood pressure went down to less than half a normal blood pressure. He is ok now, drugged on the couch watching tv.
It sucked that I didn't get to have a real going away celebration but I am just glad my dad is ok....but 8hours in a hospital is 8 hours too many!

That thing called Youtube
So I am pretty much addicted to Youtube. Mainly because you can watch so many amazing performances on there....then again you can watch so many horrid performances but this blog will focus on the Good. Here are some of my favorite performances on "the youtube"
Natalie Weiss singing "The Spark of Creation" from Children of Eden
Pa'Tina Miller singing "Random Black Girl" from Homemade Fusion
Jake Wilson sining "Highway Miles" from The Flood
Caitlin Lee Reid & Kira Safan sings "Serve 'Em Right"
Benj Pasek sings "Not Afraid" by Michael Arden
David Gordon sings "Boy with Dreams" from Edges
Cortney Wolfson performs "Blue Hair" by Joe Iconis
Joseph sings "Forest For The Trees" from the musical The Sitfire Grill (this guy reminds me of Athens Carter)
Steve Rosen and Dan Lipton- Broadway Medley

Obsession
I am realizing more and more that I am freakishly obsessed with random things. I don't know if its actually an obsession with the few random things or the act of getting those things. Lately I have been getting stuff for my apartment in Valdosta. While doing so I have been obsessed with Three things: Shower Curtain, Bedspread and Rug
I knocked the Shower Curtain out the other day when I walked into the Fabric store on Ingleside and there as if planted from heaven was a bolt of vintage fabric I have had my eye on at Macon Little Theatre. This fabric is the exact same fabric I have been lusting after and apparently it was tucked away in the back of the store forever so I snatched that up and made my shower curtain...suck on that Martha Stewart(I will tell you later why Martha is evil)
Now comes the Bedspread...I was going to go for the traditional comforter set except they are so expensive and who knows how long i will have a full bed. I decided to buy my sheets (thanks to Emmie's gift card she gave me) first and then wait for the bedspread. I found one I like on ebay that is originally from Urban Outfitters but I have been out bid twice already so I move on. Then i found it my dream bedspread!!
Its a vintage olive and while chenille bedspread! I will kill the bitch that out bids me on that!
Lastly comes the Rug...MARTHA STEWART USES SWEAT SHOPS TO MAKE HER HAND MADE RUGS!!!!!
nuff said...I am still on the look out for a good American made rug
There we go people that has been my obsession for the last few weeks. Hopefully when I get all of the said items in my new apartment I can continue my boring life and not have to worry about such menial items.

Postcard Club
Here goes friends...Colby and I sorta came up with a game on accident. If you read my last blog I was asking you all to revive the lost communication means of the postcard. Think about it, how excited are you when you receive a postcard in the mail?
It's really simple, here are the rules to the game:
1. Get a Postcard (make it as random as possible...this may be difficult but I have a feeling that ebay will be a good resource.)
2. Write your message on the postcard as if you are actually there. Your postcard may be from Iraq and your message might read:
"Dear Colby,
I keep counting the Days until I can feel the light of day on my skin again. I long to feel the sun on my face but the downpour of bombs keep me inside.
yours truly,
The Albino
3. Send it!
Thats it. You can make the postcards or buy them and make them as random and funny as possible. I plan on saving each and every postcard I get to eventually make a book out of all of them. If you would like to Join the Postcard Club then leave a comment with your Address and I will add you to the Club!
By the way this is kinda how the whole thing started...this is a video I sent to Danielle. Mainly because I really wanted on and thought it would be an awesome way to keep in touch!

10 Days to school
Hey guys I am sorry I haven't been bloging latley but I am getting ready for school and with Guys and Dolls ending I should have some free time. I have only 10 short days until I move to Valdosta to start a new chapter in my life and all I can think about is getting more stuff for my apartment. I have searched the net and here are a few items I wouldn't totally not hate any of you if I happened to have any of these show up @ my apartment!
I am really doing this just so I can remember what I want to eventually get when i start working and saving up money. If you would like to though, I would love for you all to make me something for my new Apartment. When I moved into Deckworld I had all of my friends make me a piece of artwork that I still have. I got anything from coasters to paintings to a wig head covered in macaroni and painted gold so don't hesitate to make something awesome!
I will be kinda busy these next 2 weeks as I have to say goodbye to a lot of people and have dinners and parties with them...hopefully I can get a chance to blog a bit more before I go down to VSU but I promise to send pics of my apartment when I get it all set up!!
Here is my Address...I expect lots of letters, postcards (does anyone still send postcards?) and other random stuff that is fun to receive in the mail. I promise that if you send me something I will send you something in return!
