Yesterday my family (except my mother) went out to have a "goodbye party" for me. The plans were to go bowling and eat nasty bowling ally food, put-put then Lazer tag. Well in the 2nd frame of the 1st game my dad fell on the lane (because it was too damn slick in front of the foul line) and landed in the next lane's gutter. When he got up he was a milky green color and was sweating profusely, also he could not move his arm. After getting him a drink and deciding that he needed to go to the emergency room we packed it all up and took him in. While we were in the waiting room of the worst hospital ever(warner robins), he started to loose feeling in his whole arm and couldn't breathe. My brother and I lept into action and basically did everything except for actually causing physical harm to the ignorant desk nurses.
To make a long story short we got him into a room. He had an EKG, CT Scan, Blood work, X-rays and everything came back negative. He had dislocated his shoulder but they have no idea why his blood pressure went down to less than half a normal blood pressure. He is ok now, drugged on the couch watching tv.
It sucked that I didn't get to have a real going away celebration but I am just glad my dad is ok....but 8hours in a hospital is 8 hours too many!
So I am pretty much addicted to Youtube. Mainly because you can watch so many amazing performances on there....then again you can watch so many horrid performances but this blog will focus on the Good. Here are some of my favorite performances on "the youtube"
Natalie Weiss singing "The Spark of Creation" from Children of Eden
Pa'Tina Miller singing "Random Black Girl" from Homemade Fusion
Jake Wilson sining "Highway Miles" from The Flood
Caitlin Lee Reid & Kira Safan sings "Serve 'Em Right"
Benj Pasek sings "Not Afraid" by Michael Arden
David Gordon sings "Boy with Dreams" from Edges
Cortney Wolfson performs "Blue Hair" by Joe Iconis
Joseph sings "Forest For The Trees" from the musical The Sitfire Grill (this guy reminds me of Athens Carter)
I am realizing more and more that I am freakishly obsessed with random things. I don't know if its actually an obsession with the few random things or the act of getting those things. Lately I have been getting stuff for my apartment in Valdosta. While doing so I have been obsessed with Three things: Shower Curtain, Bedspread and Rug
I knocked the Shower Curtain out the other day when I walked into the Fabric store on Ingleside and there as if planted from heaven was a bolt of vintage fabric I have had my eye on at Macon Little Theatre. This fabric is the exact same fabric I have been lusting after and apparently it was tucked away in the back of the store forever so I snatched that up and made my shower curtain...suck on that Martha Stewart(I will tell you later why Martha is evil)
Now comes the Bedspread...I was going to go for the traditional comforter set except they are so expensive and who knows how long i will have a full bed. I decided to buy my sheets (thanks to Emmie's gift card she gave me) first and then wait for the bedspread. I found one I like on ebay that is originally from Urban Outfitters but I have been out bid twice already so I move on. Then i found it my dream bedspread!! Its a vintage olive and while chenille bedspread! I will kill the bitch that out bids me on that!
Lastly comes the Rug...MARTHA STEWART USES SWEAT SHOPS TO MAKE HER HAND MADE RUGS!!!!! nuff said...I am still on the look out for a good American made rug
There we go people that has been my obsession for the last few weeks. Hopefully when I get all of the said items in my new apartment I can continue my boring life and not have to worry about such menial items.

Here goes friends...Colby and I sorta came up with a game on accident. If you read my last blog I was asking you all to revive the lost communication means of the postcard. Think about it, how excited are you when you receive a postcard in the mail?
It's really simple, here are the rules to the game:
1. Get a Postcard (make it as random as possible...this may be difficult but I have a feeling that ebay will be a good resource.)
2. Write your message on the postcard as if you are actually there. Your postcard may be from Iraq and your message might read:
"Dear Colby, I keep counting the Days until I can feel the light of day on my skin again. I long to feel the sun on my face but the downpour of bombs keep me inside.
yours truly, The Albino
3. Send it!
Thats it. You can make the postcards or buy them and make them as random and funny as possible. I plan on saving each and every postcard I get to eventually make a book out of all of them. If you would like to Join the Postcard Club then leave a comment with your Address and I will add you to the Club!
By the way this is kinda how the whole thing started...this is a video I sent to Danielle. Mainly because I really wanted on and thought it would be an awesome way to keep in touch!
Hey guys I am sorry I haven't been bloging latley but I am getting ready for school and with Guys and Dolls ending I should have some free time. I have only 10 short days until I move to Valdosta to start a new chapter in my life and all I can think about is getting more stuff for my apartment. I have searched the net and here are a few items I wouldn't totally not hate any of you if I happened to have any of these show up @ my apartment!
I am really doing this just so I can remember what I want to eventually get when i start working and saving up money. If you would like to though, I would love for you all to make me something for my new Apartment. When I moved into Deckworld I had all of my friends make me a piece of artwork that I still have. I got anything from coasters to paintings to a wig head covered in macaroni and painted gold so don't hesitate to make something awesome!
I will be kinda busy these next 2 weeks as I have to say goodbye to a lot of people and have dinners and parties with them...hopefully I can get a chance to blog a bit more before I go down to VSU but I promise to send pics of my apartment when I get it all set up!!
Here is my Address...I expect lots of letters, postcards (does anyone still send postcards?) and other random stuff that is fun to receive in the mail. I promise that if you send me something I will send you something in return!
